Morpeko 135/128 Illustration Rare Revealed for Pokémon 30th Celebration
Morpeko is getting an Illustration Rare in Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration, and Pokémon may have found the perfect setting for its perpetually hungry electric hamster.
Morpeko 135/128 is a Lightning-type Basic Pokémon with 70 HP and artwork by Yoshimi Miyoshi. The Illustration Rare drops Morpeko into a bright, chaotic market packed with food, produce and colorful storefronts.
In other words, Morpeko has found paradise.

Morpeko 135/128 Has One of the Most On-Brand Illustration Rares

The Japanese version of the card, numbered 110/103 AR, gives us a great look at Yoshimi Miyoshi's full artwork.
Morpeko is racing through the middle of a colorful market while food and produce surround it in almost every direction. There are storefronts, delivery trucks, baskets of fruit and vegetables, and even more food tucked into the background.
For a Pokémon whose entire gimmick revolves around getting hungry, I'm not sure you could pick a more appropriate location.
The Japanese card also carries the special 30th anniversary Pikachu logo, another little detail that helps separate these anniversary cards from a normal expansion.
Even Morpeko's Attack Is About Food
The theme continues with Select a Snack.
For one Colorless Energy, you discard the top three cards of your deck, choose one of those cards and put it into your hand.
Its second attack, Slap, deals 30 damage for one Lightning Energy.
Select a Snack couldn't possibly be more Morpeko if it tried.
Whether I want my hungry little buddy tossing two potentially useful cards into the discard pile every time it starts looking for lunch is another question.
How Do You Get Morpeko 135/128?
Morpeko 135/128 is part of the regular 30th Celebration booster-pack card pool rather than a product-specific promo.
Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration releases worldwide on September 16, 2026.
Reliable Illustration Rare pull rates still aren't available, so we won't know exactly how difficult Morpeko is to pull until collectors start opening enough product.
Morpeko probably isn't going to compete with Pikachu, Mew or Sylveon for the title of biggest chase card in 30th Celebration.
But Yoshimi Miyoshi understood the assignment.
Put Morpeko in a market surrounded by snacks and let chaos take care of the rest.
