Every MTG Reality Fracture Echoed Pair: Complete List

Reality Fracture is taking the alternate-reality concept pretty literally.
The upcoming Magic: The Gathering set contains 15 Echoed Pairs, with each pair connecting the Multiverse we already know to Jace Beleren’s artificial Echoverse. In most cases, that means two different versions of the same character with different colors, abilities, and histories.
For collectors, there is another reason these matter: every Reality Fracture Play Booster and Collector Booster contains an Echoed Pair, and all 15 pairs also receive borderless versions with artwork designed to connect across the two cards. Wizards has confirmed 30 borderless Echoed Pair cards in total.
As of September 1, 2026, five of the 15 Echoed Pairs have been revealed. We’ll update this list as Wizards reveals the remaining 10.

What Are Echoed Pairs in Reality Fracture?
Echoed Pairs are a special Reality Fracture bonus-sheet concept pairing a character from Magic’s normal Multiverse with an alternate version from the Echoverse.
With one still-unrevealed exception, Wizards says each pair depicts the same character whose life unfolded differently inside Jace’s reality. The pairs can include planeswalkers, legendary creatures, and other surprises.
The currently revealed cards show just how dramatically those alternate lives can change a character.
Chandra goes from the red Chandra, Torch of Defiance to the mono-blue Chandra, Chill of Compliance. Garruk shifts from green to black. Ajani moves from white to red, while Liliana moves from black to white.
Mark Rosewater confirmed that the Echoverse counterparts of Ajani, Liliana, Chandra, and Garruk appear in enemy colors. Jace is the exception among the original Lorwyn Five because his Reality Fracture story revolves around his identity as the Theorist rather than a normal Echoed Pair.
Chandra gives us probably the clearest example of what Wizards is doing.
Chandra, Torch of Defiance is the familiar red Chandra, built around fire, impulse, and aggression. Her Echoverse counterpart, Chandra, Chill of Compliance, is blue and uses ice instead.
The borderless versions make the contrast even more obvious. Wizards designed the artwork so Chandra’s fire and her Echoverse counterpart’s ice collide when the cards are placed beside each other.
The familiar Garruk, Curse Breaker remains green, while the Echoverse gives us the black Garruk, Veiled Butcher.
Like the other Lorwyn Five pairs, this represents a path Garruk could have followed if key moments in his life had unfolded differently inside Jace’s constructed reality.
Ajani Resolute represents the white Multiverse version, while Ajani Unrelenting shifts the character into red.
Again, the point is not simply to color-shift an existing card. Reality Fracture is showing an alternate history for Ajani and asking what kind of person he could have become under entirely different circumstances.
Liliana might have the most interesting name change of the revealed pairs.
The Multiverse gives us the black Liliana the Repentant, while the Echoverse version is the white Liliana the Faultless.
That difference connects directly to the Reality Fracture story, where the Echoverse contains a version of Liliana whose life followed a drastically different path.
Reality Fracture is apparently not limiting this idea to planeswalkers.
Tinybones, Pocket Nuisance is paired with Titanbones, Towering Heart, transforming Magic’s tiny black Skeleton Rogue into a much larger green Skeleton Druid. Current card listings show Tinybones as FRA #237 and Titanbones as FRA #266.
If the remaining pairs are anywhere near this weird, the checklist should get considerably more entertaining.
Are Echoed Pairs Guaranteed in Reality Fracture Boosters?
Yes.
Every Reality Fracture Play Booster contains three cards from the Echoed Pair bonus sheet. Two of those three cards form a true matching pair, while the third is an additional unpaired legendary card.
That means you are guaranteed to open at least one complete Echoed Pair in every Play Booster.
Wizards also says every Collector Booster contains an Echoed Pair, with three traditional foil uncommon Echoed Pair cards included in the Collector Booster configuration.
What Are Borderless Echoed Pair Cards?
All 15 Echoed Pairs also receive special borderless versions.
There are 30 borderless Echoed Pair cards, with two cards making up each of the 15 pairs. Their artwork connects to form a larger scene when the matching cards are placed side by side.
Both non-foil and traditional foil borderless Echoed Pair cards can appear in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters.
For collectors, that effectively creates two checklists worth following: the normal Echoed Pair cards and the complete set of 30 borderless versions.
Echoed Pairs vs. Shattered Mirror Cards
Do not confuse Echoed Pairs with Reality Fracture’s Shattered Mirror treatment.
Echoed Pairs are two separate cards representing opposing realities. Shattered Mirror cards are a different special treatment entirely.
Wizards has confirmed 13 Shattered Mirror cards, with premium Facet Foil versions available exclusively through Collector Boosters.
What Are the Remaining Reality Fracture Echoed Pairs?
That is currently one of the biggest unanswered collector questions surrounding the set.
Wizards has confirmed 15 total pairs but has only revealed five so far. There is also one mystery among the remaining cards: Wizards says one Echoed Pair does not depict two versions of the same character.
We do not know which pair that is yet, and there is no reason to guess.
Reality Fracture previews begin in early September, so this page will be updated as soon as additional pairs are officially revealed. The goal is simple: by the time the full set is known, this will contain all 15 Reality Fracture Echoed Pairs in one collector-friendly checklist.
