Pokémon 30th Celebration Tech Sticker Collection: Lucario & Alolan Exeggutor Explained

The Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration Tech Sticker Collection looks like one of the smaller products in the anniversary lineup, but it's also a little more interesting than the name suggests.

There are two versions, one built around Lucario and one around Alolan Exeggutor.

Both come with three 30th Celebration booster packs, a foil promo and a matching sticker sheet. But the promos are quite different as the two boxes tie directly into the set's Day and Night theme, and depending on where you order one, you might not even get to choose which version you receive.

Here's what you need to know before buying one.

What's Inside the Pokémon 30th Celebration Tech Sticker Collection?

Each Tech Sticker Collection includes:

• 1 foil promo card featuring Lucario or Alolan Exeggutor

• 1 matching tech sticker sheet

• 3 Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration booster packs

The collection releases alongside the main set on September 16, 2026. Pokémon officially identifies Alolan Exeggutor as the Pokémon Day Out version and Lucario as the Pokémon Night Out version.

And because every 30th Celebration booster guarantees one of the set's 30 different Pikachu illustrations, those three packs also mean three guaranteed Pikachu pulls. Duplicates are still possible.

Lucario MEP 095 Is a Standalone 30th Celebration Promo

Lucario - 095 (30th Celebration) - ME: Mega Evolution Promo (MEP)

If you're choosing based on the card rather than the sticker sheet, here's the first major difference.

The Lucario included in the Tech Sticker Collection is Lucario MEP 095, a Fighting-type Stage 1 Pokémon with 120 HP illustrated by Taiga Kasai.

Its Aura Sphere attack does 100 damage to the Active Pokémon and another 60 damage to one of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. Current card documentation identifies MEP 095 as a Black Star Promo included with the Tech Sticker Collection rather than a normal numbered card from the 30th Celebration expansion.

That makes the Lucario box pretty straightforward for collectors, and if you want this particular Lucario card, this is the product built around it.

And no, I would not start trying to assign a price to it yet. TCGplayer has already indexed the card, but there is currently no established market price or completed-sale history. The product hasn't released. Anything pretending otherwise is presale noise.

Alolan Exeggutor MEP 094 Is an Alternate-Art Promo

Alolan Exeggutor - 094 (30th Celebration) - ME: Mega Evolution Promo (MEP)

Alolan Exeggutor is where things get more interesting.

There is already an Alolan Exeggutor in the main 30th Celebration set, currently numbered 002/128 in English. That card uses artwork by Oswaldo KATO.

The Tech Sticker Collection instead gives you Alolan Exeggutor MEP 094, with alternate artwork by yuu.

The card itself plays the same. It has 150 HP, the Scale Up Ability and Mega Drain attack. The difference is the artwork and promotional numbering.

So collectors effectively have two versions to chase:

• 30th Celebration 002/128: Oswaldo KATO artwork

• MEP 094 promo: yuu artwork from the Tech Sticker Collection

That gives the Alolan Exeggutor box a different appeal than the Lucario version.

Lucario gives you a standalone promo tied to the product.

Alolan Exeggutor gives you an alternate version of a card you can also pull from 30th Celebration packs.

That's a much more interesting distinction than "one box has a palm tree and the other has Lucario."

Can You Choose Lucario or Alolan Exeggutor?

This is the part I would pay attention to before ordering because not every retailer lets you choose.

Best Buy currently lists the product as Styles May Vary and specifically says online orders receive a random selection. Best Buy also warns that ordering more than one does not guarantee different versions.

So if you're specifically hunting Lucario, don't see Lucario in the product photos and assume Lucario is what will show up. Same goes for Alolan Exeggutor.

Some hobby shops may sell the two versions separately, but check the listing before paying. A guaranteed character selection may also come with a higher preorder price.

If you don't care which promo you get, buy from the retailer with the best price. If you absolutely want one specific version, make sure the listing explicitly guarantees it.

Is the 30th Celebration Tech Sticker Collection Worth Buying?

At $14.99, which is Best Buy's current listed price, I think the answer is yes.

Three packs works out to roughly $5 per 30th Celebration booster before assigning any value to the promo or sticker sheet.

It is not necessarily the absolute cheapest way to accumulate packs, but that's not really the point of this particular product. You're paying for three packs plus a promo that you cannot simply pull as that exact version from one of those packs.

The bigger question is what happens if these become difficult to find and reseller prices start climbing.

At $14.99, I like it.

At $20, maybe.

At $30 or $40 I'm looking pretty hard at other 30th Celebration products instead.

The ETB gives you nine booster packs plus the Nidorina promo and accessories, so collectors primarily interested in opening the set have better options once the Tech Sticker Collection starts carrying a large premium.

Lucario or Alolan Exeggutor: Which One Should You Get?

If I were choosing purely as a collector, I'd lean Alolan Exeggutor.

Not because Alolan Exeggutor suddenly passed Lucario on anybody's list of most popular Pokémon.

It didn't.

I just think the alternate-art angle makes MEP 094 more interesting. You can pull the regular Alolan Exeggutor from the set, put it beside the yuu promo and have two different interpretations of the same card.

Lucario has the obvious advantage if you're a Lucario collector, and the Night theme may also appeal more to anyone collecting the broader Day and Night product lineup.

There really isn't a bad choice at $14.99.

The harder part may be getting a choice at all.

When Does the Tech Sticker Collection Release?

The Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration Tech Sticker Collection releases September 16, 2026, the same day as the 30th Celebration expansion itself.

If you're buying one at launch, I'd worry less about which promo eventually becomes more valuable and more about finding the product around normal retail pricing.

Lucario collectors are going to want Lucario.

Alolan Exeggutor collectors get a genuinely different artwork to chase.

And everyone else gets three packs and three more shots at those 30 Pikachu.

For fifteen bucks, Pokémon could have done a lot worse than throwing some stickers in the box.
