Pokemon Owala Bottles Are Coming to Target: Release Date, Designs & What We Know
Pokemon collectors already have enough going on September 16, but Target is adding another release to the pile.
A new Pokemon x Owala collection is scheduled to launch at Target on September 16, 2026, the same day Pokemon TCG: 30th Celebration releases. Target has started teasing the collaboration, although individual product listings, prices and bottle sizes have not been posted yet.
There appear to be five Pokemon designs, the collection is headed to Target, and there is already enough interest that I would not assume the most popular bottles will sit around for long.
Fan-Favorite Pokemon Owala Bottles Are Coming
The early promotional material appears to show five designs built around:
Charizard
Gengar
Pikachu
Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle
Eevee and the Eeveelutions
Target has not yet published individual product pages, so I would still treat the exact names and configurations as unofficial until those listings go live.
The character choices aren't especially surprising. Charizard, Gengar, Pikachu, Eevee and the original starters cover quite a bit of Pokemon's collector base without needing to get cute about it. If you're launching a Pokemon bottle collection, those are pretty safe places to start.
How Much Will the Pokemon Owala Bottles Cost?
We don't know yet, and there isn't much value in guessing.
Target sells regular Owala FreeSip bottles in several sizes and price ranges, but that doesn't tell us what a licensed Pokemon collaboration will cost. Until the individual listings appear, any exact price floating around should be treated cautiously.
The same goes for sizes. Owala makes bottles in several common capacities, but Target has not confirmed which ones will be used for this release.
Early Store Sightings Have Already Started
The collection isn't supposed to launch until September 16, but at least one bottle has reportedly appeared on a Target shelf early, which helped push the collaboration into Owala communities before the official release.
That doesn't prove anything about inventory, purchase limits or how difficult these will be to find. It does tell us people are already paying attention.
Charizard and Gengar would be the two designs I'd watch first simply because both have strong collector followings, with Eevee not far behind. That's a demand guess, though, not a prediction that any of them will become expensive.
Should You Buy One? I Mean, You Should Buy One!
If you already like Owala bottles and one of the designs features a Pokemon you collect, sure. This isn't a complicated product.
What I wouldn't do is turn a water bottle into a speculative collectible before Target has even posted the price.
Pick the design you actually want, see what Target charges on September 16 and make the decision from there. If Gengar disappears immediately, there will be plenty of time for the internet to lose its mind afterward.
