The Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration Illustration Rare lineup continues to grow as we get closer to the set's September 16, 2026 release.
The latest reveals add Meowth and Alolan Meowth to the growing list of Illustration Rares, joining previously revealed cards including Lapras, Hisuian Zorua, Lycanroc and Drifloon.
This guide tracks the 30th Celebration Illustration Rares revealed so far and will be updated as additional cards are officially shown.
Pokémon 30th Celebration Illustration Rares Revealed So Far
Lapras
Lapras was one of our first looks at the Illustration Rare style coming to 30th Celebration. The artwork places Lapras underwater among a colorful coral reef, with other Water-type Pokémon appearing throughout the scene.
It's a good example of what makes Illustration Rares so popular with collectors. Instead of simply putting the Pokémon against a decorative background, the artwork builds an entire scene around it.
Hisuian Zorua
Hisuian Zorua gets a much colder Illustration Rare, appearing in the middle of a snowy landscape.
The heavy snowfall and relatively subdued environment fit the Hisuian form particularly well, giving the card a very different atmosphere from the brighter Lapras artwork.
Lycanroc
Lycanroc's Midnight Form gets one of the most dramatic Illustration Rares revealed for 30th Celebration so far.
The artwork places Lycanroc on a rocky cliff beneath a large full moon, leaning heavily into the darker visual identity of its Midnight Form. It also helps show the variety we're getting from the set's Illustration Rares rather than every card following the same colorful anniversary aesthetic.
Drifloon
Drifloon's Illustration Rare takes a quieter approach, with several Drifloon floating around a playground during twilight.
It's another environment-focused Illustration Rare where the setting does much of the storytelling. The empty playground combined with Drifloon's unusual Pokédex history gives the artwork a slightly eerie feeling without turning it into an overtly dark card.
Meowth Illustration Rare
Meowth is one of the newest Pokémon confirmed to receive an Illustration Rare in 30th Celebration.
The Pokémon Company revealed new Meowth cards as part of the set's continuing preview cycle, including the regular card and a full Illustration Rare treatment.
The Illustration Rare gives collectors considerably more to look at than Meowth alone. Multiple members of the Meowth evolutionary family and regional forms can be spotted throughout the artwork, creating the kind of background detail that makes these cards fun to inspect after the initial reveal.
It also pairs particularly well with the next card.
Alolan Meowth Illustration Rare
Alolan Meowth is also receiving its own Illustration Rare in Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration.
Rather than treating the two Meowth cards as completely unrelated illustrations, the artwork appears to play the different regional forms against one another. Regular Meowth can be spotted within Alolan Meowth's scene, while Alolan Meowth appears within the regular Meowth artwork.
Galarian Meowth can also be spotted in the scenes, giving the pair an interconnected quality that collectors quickly noticed after the reveal.
It's a small touch, but it's exactly the kind of visual storytelling that can make Illustration Rares more memorable than simply giving a popular Pokémon a full-art card.
How Many 30th Celebration Illustration Rares Are There?
The complete Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration Illustration Rare checklist has not been officially revealed yet.
That's important because previews will continue leading into the set's worldwide release, and additional Illustration Rares are likely to appear as more of the checklist becomes public.
The Pokémon Company has confirmed that Illustration Rares are part of the expansion, while 30th Celebration itself contains several other collectible elements. Every booster pack contains five foil cards, including one of 30 unique Pikachu illustrations, plus one foil Basic Energy card.
The expansion also includes the returning Classic Collection concept and introduces the new Futuristic Rare rarity as part of Pokémon's 30th-anniversary celebration.
For this tracker, however, we're keeping things simple: if a new 30th Celebration Illustration Rare is officially revealed, it belongs here.
When Does Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration Release?
Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration releases worldwide on September 16, 2026.
Unlike a normal Pokémon expansion, 30th Celebration is a special set. Booster packs will be distributed through products such as the Elite Trainer Box, Poster Collection and other anniversary collections rather than traditional standalone booster displays.
More products will continue arriving later in 2026, including Ultra-Premium Collections, Mew and Mewtwo Figure Collections, a Ditto Premium Collection and additional anniversary products.
That gives Pokémon plenty of time to continue revealing new cards even after the initial September launch.
More 30th Celebration Illustration Rares Are Coming
With the full Illustration Rare checklist still unrevealed, Meowth and Alolan Meowth won't be the last additions to this page.
