Naruto Card Game Manga Rares: Naruto & Sasuke TCG Chase Cards Revealed

The upcoming NARUTO CARD GAME already has two cards attracting serious collector attention, and the game is still nearly a year away from release.

Bandai has shown special Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha cards that combine full-color character artwork with panels from the original Naruto manga. Collectors have quickly started calling them Naruto Manga Rares, especially because of the obvious comparison to the Manga Rare chase cards found in Bandai's One Piece Card Game.

There is one important distinction, though: Bandai has not officially confirmed “Manga Rare” as the rarity name.

Here is what we actually know about the Naruto and Sasuke manga cards so far.

What Are the Naruto TCG Manga Rares?

Bandai describes these as special cards featuring illustrations from the original NARUTO TCG manga.

The Naruto and Sasuke cards share a distinctive split design. Part of each card features a full-color illustration of the character surrounded by an ornate patterned background, while the other portion incorporates black-and-white manga panels.

The designs also appear intentionally paired.

Naruto's full-color artwork occupies the right side of his card, with manga panels running down the left. Sasuke reverses the composition, placing his character artwork on the left and manga imagery on the right.

Put them next to each other and they look like a matched Naruto and Sasuke collector set.

Naruto Uzumaki Manga Card

The Naruto Uzumaki sample features Naruto in his familiar orange outfit surrounded by several manga panels depicting different moments from the series.

Bandai has specifically warned that preview cards are still in development and that card text and rarity information may be removed from sample versions. The large SAMPLE watermark across the card reinforces that these are not necessarily the exact versions players will eventually pull from products.

Sasuke Uchiha Manga Card

The matching Sasuke Uchiha card follows essentially the same format.

Sasuke is shown in full color on the left side, while manga panels fill much of the right side of the card. His sample also shows DMG 3, POW 6 and HP 6, matching Naruto.

Again, those stats should be treated as preview information rather than confirmed final card specifications.

The mirrored layouts and identical sample stats make Naruto and Sasuke feel deliberately connected, which could make the pair especially appealing to collectors if these designs reach the final game largely intact.

Are They Officially Called Manga Rares?

Not yet.

This is probably the most important detail to understand.

Collectors and community members are already using terms such as Manga Rare and comparing these cards directly with One Piece Manga Rares. That terminology makes perfect sense visually, but Bandai has not published the Naruto Card Game's complete rarity system.

For now, the safest description is:

Naruto and Sasuke manga-style special cards that collectors are commonly calling Manga Rares.

Until Bandai reveals the actual rarity names, we do not know whether “Manga Rare” will become an official designation.

How Rare Will the Naruto Manga Cards Be?

We simply don't know yet.

Bandai has not announced:

• Pull rates

• Booster configurations

• The official rarity of Naruto or Sasuke

• How many manga-style cards will exist

• Which booster set will contain them

• Whether the final cards will use special foil, texture or other premium treatments

  
  

That uncertainty is worth remembering when comparing them to One Piece Manga Rares.

The artwork may create similar collector appeal, but there is currently no evidence that Naruto's manga cards will have the same scarcity or pull rates as One Piece Manga Rares.

When Does the Naruto Card Game Release?

The NARUTO CARD GAME is scheduled for a worldwide launch in Summer 2027.

Bandai plans to reveal additional information before then, including another major update around New York Comic Con from October 8 through October 11, 2026.

That should give collectors a much clearer picture of the game's products, rarity system and potentially where cards like Naruto and Sasuke fit into it.

For now, these two manga-style cards offer our first look at what could become some of the Naruto Card Game's most desirable collector pieces.

If Bandai continues this treatment with characters like Kakashi, Itachi, Gaara, Jiraiya or Madara, the Naruto Manga Rare conversation could get very interesting very quickly.
